EVE PEARL AT THE 2009 MAKEUP SHOW NYC
New York — May 19th2009 — Five-time Emmy award-winning celebrity makeup artist Eve Pearl delivered four High Definition presentations at the 2009 MAKEUP SHOW NYC.
On Sunday, May 17th, Eve delivered three presentations. Her first was a special Hands on Workshop on her Emmy award winning “Eve Pearl Method”. The private room was filled with professional Makeup artists, who had the opportunity to work directly with Eve as she guided them with step-by-step application techniques for two and a half hours.
Later that day, Eve gave an educational class entitled Brushes 101.
“You can’t be a makeup artist without having the right tools,” said Eve. “You don’t need a lot of brushes, just the right ones. Great brushes allow you to control the color and placement of the product. They give you the right amount of product, allowing for the desired effect. At the end of the day, the best artists will excel at developing and fine tuning their eyes, hands and techniques to achieve that High Definition finish.”
Eve was also part of a panel during the State of the Union presentation, sponsored by Local 798, the Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist Union. Eve is an active member of the makeup community and inspired fellow members to elevate their professionalism and expertise in order to enhance the quality and reputation of the union.
“I am proud to be a makeup artist, and as a Union, we are only as strong as our weakest link,” said Eve. “We can all aspire to greatness, helping each other along the way.”
On Monday, May 18th, Eve presented Perfecting the Canvas, a beauty instructional. Eve selected three models with different skin tones and applied makeup in front of a full crowd.
One of the models expressed that the EVE PEARL® High Definition makeup “felt great and matched very well,” with her skin tone.
Eve explained that great makeup artists need to “make people look flawless, as the best versions of themselves,” while respecting color theory. But outside of the makeup, Eve urged that extra qualities like “true dedication, passion and professionalism” can often set apart good makeup artists from great ones.
Throughout the show at booth C2, Eve could be seen applying makeup, sharing application techniques and taking photographs with fans.
“The Makeup Show NYC had incredible energy and I was very excited to be part of it,” explained Eve. “I was inspired and I hope to help other makeup artists aspire to achieve all their greatest dreams.”
This was Eve’s fourth consecutive appearance at the Makeup Show NYC, but her first with the opening of the EVE PEARL® Makeup Experience Studio and Boutique, located at 805Third Avenue in the heart of New York City.
